When to book newborn shoot?

We have families book as early as their 12 week scan all the way through to when little one arrives. We recommend booking in as soon as possible as we only take a certain number of bookings each month to ensure we can fit everyone in.

We don’t know exactly which day our baby will arrive, how do we book?

We book you in for your due ‘month’. For example, if you are due in February, we book you in for the ‘month’ and then just let us know when they are here and we will confirm the soonest date and time.

Newborn session - What can we expect? How does it work?

We have families book as early as their 12 week scan all the way through to when little one arrives. Let us know as soon as possible so we can book you in.
Once you session is confirmed, we will have a phone consultation to have a chat about what you would like from the session, must-have photos, what to wear, colours etc. It’s a great way for us to get to know you and your family.
After your session, you will be invited back to the studio to view your beautiful, edited images. This is normally about 2 weeks after your photoshoot and can take place in the evenings and weekends if you like. At your ordering session, once you have seen the images, you can then choose what you would like to purchase. We offer everything from prints to wall art and digital packages.

What if our baby is unwell or really unhappy on the day/lead up to our booking?

Don’t worry, just give us a call as soon as possible and we will rebook you for a different day.

Do you have outfits for a newborn shoot?

We have a selection of outfits, props and headbands available at the studio. Please let us know on your phone consultation if you have something in particular in mind.

What should I bring a newborn session?

We recommend bringing any special outfits, blankets, teddies or something personal to you. Make sure you bring food and nappies too!

My baby is over 1 month old, is that too old for a newborn session?

We will still be able to get some lovely images when they are that bit older, we just say to keep in mind that as they are not quite so tiny and sleepy after 1 month, the the images will reflect this.

How do I view my images?

You will view your images at your ordering session, which takes place at the studio. You will view your beautiful edited images in our viewing room, on a large screen – the perfect way to see your photographs. You can then look through the options for prints, frames and digital packages.

Why are newborn shoots better in the studio than at home?

We have a full range of background, props, lighting and accessories which are too large to move on location. We use all these elements to create the very best images for you and your family.

How many digital images do we get?

We never cap or cut off images if we feel it will create the perfect story of your day. We always want to give you a wide selection and variety of images without repetition. As a guide we normally say it will be about 600-700 images on your USB with two photographers, possibly a little less with one photographer.

How big are the digital images?

We give you fully edited high resolution, copyright free, Jpeg images – none of these silly thumbnails! We understand you would like to print and share your images with family and friends so this is why all packages have a digital copy of your images included on a lovely presentation USB.

Are you insured?

Yes. We are fully insured and have public liability insurance. We are happy to give you a copy of our documents as some venues do ask to see this.

Why Albums and Wall Art Packages?

We find that most of our couples love to have beautiful, timeless albums to keep as a memento of their wedding day or a stunning frame in their home to look at every day – its such a momentous event, we love the idea of you looking through your album for generations to come or looking at your frame every day in your home. Of course, you will still receive your USB, so it’s the best of both worlds.

Why Two Photographers?

When organising our wedding, one of our biggest problems was hearing the words ‘HER big day’… last time we checked it takes two to get married! So having two photographers means we can tell the full story of your day. You can look back together on the events of each others morning, all the nerves and excitement, getting ready for the biggest day of your lives. It also means we have greater coverage of all your guests and multiple aspects of key moments like during the ceremony, capturing the best man delivering his show stopping speech without missing out on the amazing reactions of your guests.

How many images do we get on our USB?

We do not cap your images. On average it would be about 700-800 images.

Can we have more than 9 hours coverage?

Yes of course. 9 hours is the most popular and generally covers from prep to first dance, but we are regularly asked to stay later into the evening. Let us know how long you have in mind and we can give you a quote.

What happens if you are ill on our wedding day?

Touch wood, it has not happened in 10 years! However, we have a member of our team on stand by on all wedding bookings if the worst should happen. They are fully trained by us and work in the same style. You will hear many photographers say they have ‘a network they can call upon’ but is it likely they will be free at short notice?

Do you offer video too?

We have a fantastic videographer we work with and can arrange a package including video if this is something you are looking for.

What are your packages?

Do you have parking?

Yes, we have free parking on site. Please let us know if you are bringing more than one car as parking is limited.

Why is the session cost separate to any products eg. Prints/digitals/Wall Art etc?

We feel it is best for you to see your images before you decide what you would like to purchase. The session cost is to cover your time in the studio, the many hours editing each image and your viewing session which then gives you the flexibility to purchase what would be best for you at the ordering session.

How early should I try to arrive before the session?

We recommend about 10 mins before. Please allow time to find the studio as Sat Navs can take you the wrong way. Please refer to the map that is sent to you with your session confirmation.

Whats the best postcode for Sat Navs?

Some people find the postcode for the studio takes you straight to us (RG9 1UF) but if you do have problems, please try RG9 1BJ. Please also use the map that is sent to you with your session confirmation.
